| her: | are you scared of failing? |
| me: | isn't everybody? |
| her: | perhaps. but not everybody's fear is paralysing. |

i was about to write a really whiny post on how hard it is to make art at the moment, how hard it is to create shit and be productive and how there is just NOTHING.
and then i remembered this:
quit the bitching on your blog,
stop pretending art is hard.
oh, to think i was going to pour that much energy into reminding myself that I’m depressed because i’m not making anything by making something about not making something.
lol.
the rules clearly state that when you are depressed you are allowed to stay at home and eat honey cheerios and look at pictures of cats and cute boys on the internet instead of going on dates.
and the noon gun just went off. i’m still in bed. how.
omg. googling 120 pinhole camera DIYs and omg I know what my new project is. omg. i am going to build a camera.
Trying to gather up bits o’ other people’s creativity.
Important Things From This Video:
- the idea of ideas “growing up together” sometimes ideas in different media are the same thing and you need to combine them.
- ideas strike at random. this is something i know very, very well but like to forget because when the ideas haven’t been coming for a while you forget to take the pen and paper along with you where ever you go.
- feeling a sense of responsibility to enjoy what you do because you are doing what you love.
